History

A new 4 year undergraduate degree program for the qualification of BPharm was commenced in 2005/2006. The 4th year curriculum includes modules of clinical and hospital pharmacy. In 2009, Ian and Judith Coombes were invited to provide lectures and workshops aiming to teach and assess components of the clinical pharmacy course, part of the BPharm program at the University of Peradeniya in Sri Lanka. This visit was supported by the South Asian Clinical Toxicology Research Collaboration (SACTRC).
This was however just the beginning of a strong relationship between Pharmacists between Australia and Sri Lanka.
